Starlight and Error, by Remica Bingham-Risher
Remica Bingham-Risher earned an MFA from Bennington College, is a Cave Canem fellow and a member of the Affrilachian Poets. Her first book, Conversion (Lotus, 2006), won the Naomi Long Madgett Poetry Award. Her second book, What We Ask of Flesh (Etruscan, 2013), was shortlisted for the Hurston/Wright Legacy Award. She is currently the Director of Writing and Faculty Development at Old Dominion University and is finalizing a book of essays and interviews with African-American poets. She resides in Norfolk, VA with her husband and children.
Paula Cisewski is the author of poetry collections The Threatened Everything (Burnside Review Books), Ghost Fargo (selected by Franz Wright for the Nightboat Poetry Prize), Upon Arrival (Black Ocean), and the lyric prose chapbook Misplaced Sinister (Red Bird Chapbooks). She lives in Minneapolis.
