Join us in welcoming new Diode Intern Hannah Fakhri!

Hannah Fakhri is currently a junior studying Graphic Design at VCUarts Qatar. Coming from both a British and Qatari background, she has a wide range of different approaches and perspectives on the world. Sarcasm runs through her blood and makes way too many UK-related jokes that only a small number of people in the Middle East understand—a niche market. She also often worries about the small things and makes mountains out of molehills before accomplishing the goal at hand. It’s all in the details.

As A Designer,

The artwork that comes out of movements like MeToo and Black Lives Matter influence how I approach design and other aspects of my life and work.

Artists and designers that I use as inspiration mainly come from Instagram. Some of my favourites include @Maltzcreative @hygge_by_nikitina @qimmyshimmy @iammrcup @longodesigns

A few books on my To Be Read shelf include, Chain of Gold, One of Us is Next and The Diabolic. My favourite author will forever remain Cassandra Clare and her shadowhunter series.
